AM 1160 WYLL hosted approximately 550 people to an amazing event with special guest speaker Candace Cameron Bure. Many people know Candace from ABC's hit television series, Full House, where people affectionately knew her as D.J. Tanner". But after acting since age five, Candace put her career on hold when she married NHL star Valeri Bure and stayed home to raise her three children. What people may not know is that Candace is a follower of Christ and speaks around the country talking about her personal journey.

WYLL approached Gina Freehill to be a part of this event by doing an artist signing with her Peace by Piece collection. She was also given the honor to present Candace with a Peace Angel at the end of the event. The event began with several venders setting up awaiting the arrival of invited guests to come shop, have dessert and enjoy listening to guest speaker Candace. The Peace Angels drew a lot of attention from people of all ages who waited in line to meet Gina and hear the story that inspired her Peace by Piece collection. The overall message of the line expresses finding peace in the simplicities of life. Gina offered, "Everyone in the world needs peace and our lives become connected through it." The crowd drew in as people waited to have their angel signed by Gina.The sentimental messages adorning the angels were written from her heart and are meant to empower each individual who receives them with a message of peace. As a gift of thanks to WYLL and the people who took their time to attend the event, Gina donated four signed Peace Angels and 2 framed prints of her artwork for raffle prizes This drew a lot of interest and excitement during the event.

The crowd then moved to the stage area where Candace was going speak. Candace spoke about about her childhood, where she grew up and what it was like to become a kid star. She took us through her journey in life and how she was led to speaking about Jesus. Her amazing story drew tears of joy from the audience. Everyone was quite taken by the inspiration she brought to the room. What a beautiful event. After speaking, many lined up to meet Candace.

Later when Gina was introduced to Candace, they spoke briefly about motherhood and inspiration. Gina continued with how this led her starting her own business. She then introduced her Peace by Piece collection to her and explained how the concept for the Peace by Piece collection began. Gina Presented Candace with the "PEACEFUL HEART ANGEL" from the collection. She noted how so many people have connected with the inspirational messages of peace and the line's artful presence. Gina spoke about how people are choosing pieces from the line with the messages that relate to their own life or someone close to them. People are saying they've been "Touched by a Peace Angel." This is how Gina chose the Peaceful Heart Angel to present to Candace. After reading about her and what she is doing with her life today it was easy to see that she has a giving heart. Gina felt that the Peaceful Heart Angel which reads, "A Peaceful heart overflows with joy, love and gratitude," nicely represented who she is and her willingness to bring a message of peace, hope and joy to others.

Upon presenting Candace with the Peace Angel she responded, "Oh, thank you! Oh, my goodness, she is too beautiful". Gina described to her the details of the Angel and the meaning behind the symbolism that adorns her adding these thoughts. The heart locket she holds represents those treasured values we keep within our heart. The heart of wings on her dress is symbolic of the uplifting power of peace and love. The heart shape of her wings represents the message that comes from the heart. Candace was very touched by this gesture stating, "I will happily display it in my home". Gina also gave Candace a custom card, designed especially for her with artwork from the Peace by Piece collection. The card included the story of the Peaceful Heart Angel. After the warm reception and many thanks, Candace hugged Gina for the special gift.

Gina remarked that, "This entire event was very special and creating meaningful relationships with others will always be very important to me. I am blessed to be able to create art and express myself through that medium. It is such an honor to create product lines that touch and inspire others. That is why all of my designs are created from my heart. Every piece of art that leaves my studio has meaning and a reason behind every detail." The WYLL event was a wonderful experience for all who attended and they've asked Gina to come back and join them for upcoming events.
